EVEN Hotel New York - Midtown East by IHG

The location is great- very convenient for tourists and travelers! We were able to store our bags for a few hours before check-in and even got to our room early. The room was clean and functional. Unfortunately, there was little to no sound proofing between the room and the hallway so we could hear the staff and other guests clearly at all hours. As a result it was hard to sleep.

This hotel is great! The front desk staff and bartender are so nice and accommodating and our room was very clean! Shower is nice and hot and pressure is great! We were there for my cousin’s 15th birthday, so they upgraded our room so we had a nice view and gave us late check out for free! Location is also great! Away from all the hustle and bustle but still very close to subways stations to get places.

We stayed at Even for a quick weekend trip. It’s a great location. In the center of everything and easy to get to. When we arrived, There were multiple elevators. The elevators worked well for the most part. There was never too long of a wait. The lobby is on the 2nd floor. The lady at the desk wasn’t the most welcoming or kind, but it was good that our room was early before 3. The rest of the staff we encountered were really friendly. When we got to the room, it was what I expected, small but fine for a quick trip. I was glad there was a small fridge and they also found creative ways to use all the space in the room. The bathroom was small, but the shower was a good size. There were no mini lotions or other soaps except those that were to stay in the room. These hotels with rooms that are made for “fitness” are ironic because the room is so small, I’m not sure where you could possibly work out in the room. The room was overall clean. Bed was comfortable. The gym wasn’t special, but glad there was some treadmills and basic equipment. The hotel isn’t memorable, but fine for a quick trip.

I originally wrote a review of for a different experience. This edit reflects the EVEN Hotel. This spot is a hidden gem. It is located in a phenomenal area with everything you need, or want, close by. We flew in and took the tram from JFK to Grand Central station. This hotel is a 3 minute walk from there. It is nicely tucked away and you wouldn't guess how nice it is on the inside id you simply looked down the road. Bar - happy hour prices are some of the best in the area with a bartender that is extremely friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to figuring out local eateries or experiences. Rooms - the rooms are nicely sized with unique amenities. Our room came with some yoga mats, bands and yoga blocks. Great price for the location and amenities. If you want you a nice place to escape from after a long day of going to random spots all across Manhattan then this the ideal spot. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Wonderful travel experience here at this hotel. It is in a great area of midtown New York. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to knowing the area well. The manager was able to upgrade the room to give my mom a wonderful experience for her birthday. We spent the day traveling around with my camera admiring the cultural influences the city has to offer through Art at the MoMA. Afterwards we found a delicious Italian restaurant not too far from the hotel. This hotel is not only very clean and modern the coffee bar has a certain atmosphere as well as the bar. The room was elevated on the 27th floor overlooking the Chrysler building as it illuminated the city skyline at night. I will keep this hotel in mind for future excursions during my frequent New York travels. I want to thank and appreciate IHG and the EVEN Hotel upholding a standard of professionalism and hospitality during my stay. The people who work so hard make this city remarkable and timeless; are truly the back bone of the greatest city in the world. Thank you.

The location of the hotel is perfect, a block from Grand Central Midtown. The staff at reception are friendly and check in was easy. The room had everything you need. A nice view of the city, large bed, coffee machine and TV. The air-conditioning appeared to be on the blink and was very noisy. The room was mostly tidy, bathroom could have done with a slightly more thorough clean but overall it was okay. Size wise it was okay for one person, 2 persons for a few days maybe a squeeze. As for the ammentaties, There is coffee pods in the room but no water and this appears to be a bit of an oversight. The hotel was pretty quiet once you were in your room, in my room the plugs were a bit intermittent. Overall a really good hotel for location. I would definitely return

This was our first time staying at this IHG hotel in New York, and we loved it. Great location, excellent breakfasts (with free-range eggs!), comfortable beds, and genuinely helpful staff. The shower has a flexible shower head (something you don’t often see in American hotels). The window opens for fresh air, which is also rare, plus there are plenty of soft towels and even a choice of shower gels. This is officially our new favourite place to stay in New York City.

Amazing stay! Staff was so friendly and helpful! Room was clean and shower was just perfect. Staff was able to help us with our bags after check out but before out flight and helped us get transportation. Room keys to unlock our floor made us feel so safe as a couple 20 year old girls visiting the city. Location was so close to grand central and times square that we walked a lot of our trip but also close enough to subway terminals when we needed to go farther. Will be staying again next time we plan a trip to NYC.
